prior to being listed.

Started dogs
are usually younger dogs that have a fundamental start in the
field. These dogs have basic “on-lead” obedience training,
quarter in the hunting field, turn on the whistle to establish
a set natural range and find, flush and chase game. They have
been introduced to the gun and retrieve shot game to hand. Most
dogs in this class have been introduced to basic swimming as well.
These dogs are not steady to wing or shot and have no training
in handling blind retrieves. The training work for these dogs
is started on pigeons. Most will have some exposure to chukars
and/or pheasants prior to sale. These dogs are a “ready
to go” hunting companion at a reasonable investment.
